I’m raising funds in memory of Ned for Asthma Australia

Our annual fundraiser RACE YA returns in 2026, proudly supporting Asthma Australia in memory of Ned Cameron. Over the years, this special event has brought our community together in Ned’s honour and raised an incredible $118,291.35 for research and to support people affected by asthma.

TOGETHER, WE HAVE MADE AN EXTRAORDINARY IMPACT

In 2026, we are aiming even higher. Our goal is to lift our total to an extraordinary $130,000, which means raising more than $11,000 this year.

What’s On

Join us for a fun-filled family day designed to celebrate community, connection, and Ned’s spirit. Activities include:

  • Face painting

  • Yabbie auction and races

  • Vintage car display

  • Lolly hunt

  • Egg toss

  • Nail drive

  • Wheelbarrow race

  • Running races

  • Tug-of-war

  • Gold panning

  • Gumboot toss

  • Goal kicking

  • Kids rides

  • And so much more

We will also have a silent auction, raffles, and a great range of food and drinks available. Eftpos will be on-site for convenience.

Could provide resources such as Asthma First Aid and an Asthma Action Plan, and information on how to live well with asthma.

$50 could fund an Asthma Education Kit for a community nurse. This enables a community nurse to train people in device technique, helping them to manage their asthma.

Can enable an Asthma Educator to provide life-saving information to someone who calls the 1800 ASTHMA (1800 278 462) information line.

Could go towards research into preventing and treating asthma. The Asthma Australia Research Program is the country’s only fund dedicated exclusively to asthma research.
