Shane's Bicycle Ride around Australia for Children with Asthma

As of New Year's Day 2024 I will be departing Melbourne's Docklands on an Epic 4 Month Bicycle Ride. unaided, Around Australia for Children with Asthma heading in a clockwise direction via Geelong and the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide then travelling via HWY 1 around this vast country.  there will be daily updates on where I'm going, where I've been, plenty of people to meet, photo's and Go Pro videos to share. My Challenge is to ride the 4 sectors in one month each, so, 1 month from Melbourne to Perth, 1 month from Perth to Darwin, 1 month from Darwin to Brisbane then finally 1 month from Brisbane to Melbourne.

Could provide resources such as Asthma First Aid and an Asthma Action Plan, and information on how to live well with asthma.

$50 could fund an Asthma Education Kit for a community nurse. This enables a community nurse to train people in device technique, helping them to manage their asthma.

Can enable an Asthma Educator to provide life-saving information to someone who calls the 1800 ASTHMA (1800 278 462) information line.

Could go towards research into preventing and treating asthma. The Asthma Australia Research Program is the country’s only fund dedicated exclusively to asthma research.
