WE NEED TO START TAKING ASTHMA SERIOUSLY

Meg felt like she was breathing through a straw. Every. Single. Day.

“I've struggled with the fear of not being able to breathe... it's a constant battle”
- Meg.

Imagine what that’s like?

To have to function on such a small amount of air.

To have to teach and parent and live your life, without enough air to breathe properly.

This was Meg’s life, battling asthma.

Nearly 2.8 million Australians live with asthma. When you read Meg’s story, imagine it’s someone you know.

Asthma is serious. At least 1 Australian dies every day because of asthma.

Your donation today can provide life-saving information and services that help people like Meg really live, not just exist.

Every dollar helps us support people living with asthma

Meg’s life improved after she called 1800 ASTHMA

In a 40-minute call Meg was able to discuss how she manages her asthma.

She could talk about the medicines she was taking, and that’s when Meg discovered that there were other treatment options she didn’t know about.

The Asthma Educator also told her she was eligible for a free pharmacy review that could support her in managing her asthma.

The support from 1800 ASTHMA means that now Meg can live her life freely. Because of support from people like you, Meg is no longer gasping for air.

DONATE TO KEEP PEOPLE WITH ASTHMA ATTACKS OUT OF HOSPITAL

Despite the progress made in asthma treatments, too many families still suffer asthma attacks that end with the trauma of hospitalisation.

Most years, more than 400 people die from asthma — a sobering reminder of the urgent need to continue your support and advocacy.

Please donate today to support people like Meg so that they can breathe freely and live a full life, despite their asthma.
