Let's Huff & Puff Against Asthma
1 – 10 September 2024
Still time to join the fun...
Prize rewards for fundraising!
How it works
This September, join us for 10-days as we get breathless for the people in our lives who struggle to breathe.
You can sprint, run, walk, swim or ride as we Huff & Puff against asthma.
Why? 1 in 9 Australians are living with asthma. At least 1 Australian dies every day because of asthma. We want to walk a mile in their shoes and raise crucial funds to help them live and breathe better.
How! You can sign up solo or join as a team. Together we can Huff & Puff against asthma and make a real difference for families and individuals living with asthma.
When! The Asthma Huff & Puff starts 1 September and concludes 10 September.

Ky knows what it's like to be restricted by asthma
His mum Jo vividly remembers their recent asthma experience.
“I heard Ky coughing in the tent next to me. Ky was having an asthma attack in his sleep. His dad Rod woke him up and gave him his reliever medicine. But Ky kept coughing, he wasn’t breathing properly. Panicked, I called triple zero at around 4am."
Every year thousands of children, just like Ky, have an asthma attack so serious that they must go to hospital. We want more families like Ky’s to have the life changing information and support they need from an Asthma Educator, so they don’t have to experience the trauma of rushing their child to hospital.
Your donations will fund projects like these
1800 ASTHMA
An information phone line that takes 20 calls a day from people with asthma and their carers supporting them with evidence-based information to improve their asthma management.
AirSmart
The Australian app for air quality. AirSmart puts all the information about the air you breathe directly into the palm of your hand.
By knowing what’s in the air, AirSmart can better protect your health and help you safely plan your day.
RESEARCH
We led a research project to identify the top 10 asthma research priorities according to people with asthma, carers, healthcare professionals and policy makers to created a National Asthma Research Agenda.
"An Asthma Educator really changed my life. I have never in my life been more well than I am now, due to that call I made to Asthma Australia. Can’t recommend them highly enough. I learned more in that 40 minute chat than I have in my lifetime."
